Known as a grande dame of Japanese paintress and a member of the highest level art associations, "Dokuritsu Bijyutsu Kyokai (Indipendent Art Association)" and "Jyoryu Gaka Kyokai (Paintress Association)".

She has consistently aimed at backwoods of Silk Road area as her motif for over 30 years, maintaining energetic creative activities. No other painting looks quite like her unique use of color.

"Irie Kazuko Silk Road Museum" is open to public in Asagaya, Tokyo.

One of the most adorable paintress whose wall paintings are considered as the most attractive at the moment in Japan.

In her earlier years, Indian portraits or persons were her main subject.
Since the late 1980s, she has been involved in big projects like mural decoration not only in various regions in Japan but in China, Thailand, and etc. reaching 49 coutries and places including AMADEA which is a luxury liner now under steam in the Mediterranean Sea.

She is now working on 42 fusumas (sliding doors) of one of the most prestigious temples in Japan, Tenryuji in Kyoto.
It should certainly go down in Japan's art history.
